Starting mid-April, RFTA will unlock bike racks on buses, providing an easy way for riders to combine biking and bus travel throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Whether you’re commuting or exploring, bike racks on buses make it simple to take your bike along for the journey.
Key Details:
- Free Bike Loading: Bike loading is free of charge, with no fare required.
- First-Come, First-Served: Bike racks are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the racks are full, you may need to wait for the next bus or lock your bike at the stop.
- E-Bikes Allowed: E-bikes under 75 pounds are welcome. However, fat bikes, bike trailers, and cargo bikes are not permitted.
- Designated Stops: Bike loading is only available at specific RFTA stops for safety and efficiency.
