KIDS ON BUSES
TIPS ON TRANSPORTATION FOR DAYCARES, CAMPS, PRESCHOOLS, SCHOOLS AND OTHER GROUPS
RFTA is happy to provide transportation for groups on all of our regular routes, however, because of capacity constraints, we cannot guarantee that large groups will always be able to travel together.
If the bus is full, part or all of your group may have to wait for the next bus. Please always ensure that you have enough adult chaperones to safely split up your group.
- Children ages 5 and under travel for free on all RFTA buses.
- Children ages 6 to 18 can travel one-way on any of RFTA’s regional commuter buses for $1. Travel within single zones is free for all ages.
RFTA no longer charges additional fees for large groups, however we do appreciate communication about large groups traveling together, as it can help us allocate resources appropriately when possible. If you plan to travel with a group of 10 or more people, of any age, please fill out the form below at least 24 hours in advance of your trip.
