RIDER ALERT: Highway 82 Snowmass Canyon Resurfacing Project: Bus Delays Expected Starting May 28th

Please be aware of an upcoming construction project that may affect your travel with RFTA.

On Hwy 82 in Snowmass Canyon, a resurfacing project begins this month from May 28-June 28 that will affect all traffic and cause delays. Read the Colorado Department of Transportation’s project information page. This will affect the Roaring Fork Valley Local and BRT-VelociRFTA up valley and down valley routes traveling along Hwy 82.

Hwy 82 travelers should plan for 24/7 single lane closure with 40-minute delays for bridge work from May 28 to June 28. After bridge repairs are complete travelers should plan for a single lane closure and 15-minute delays during hours of operation; Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be no impacts for Hwy 82 eastbound from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and Hwy 82 westbound from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Refer to COtrip.org for real-time travel conditions and road closures on Hwy 82.
